Veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin bonded to your teeth to improve color, shape and size. Dr. Brittany Pierpont designs them at Pier Dental so they look believable on Treasure Island patients.
They can improve stains, chips, wear, spacing and slightly crooked teeth. We spend time on goals and on alternatives before anything is done to a tooth.
Inside the veneer process

Treatment begins with a consult, then a little enamel is removed and impressions are taken. Once the veneers are made, they are bonded on and adjusted.
We check that color, fit and bite are right before you go.

Brightening first

If tooth color is your main issue, whitening may do the job. We offer custom trays, an LED kit and strips for home use.
Whitening before veneers also helps set the target shade.

Crowns for broken-down teeth

Veneers cover the front of a tooth, while a crown covers all of it. A crown is the sturdier option when a tooth is cracked or heavily restored.
Dr. Pierpont will help you choose the right tool.

About Treasure Island
Treasure Island was first settled by the Tocobaga around 300 CE. Centuries later, the island saw a surge of home and hotel construction after World War II.
That history of change fits a smile makeover. Pier Dental, a family-owned office at 8351 Blind Pass Rd, plans veneers for patients from Treasure Island, Sunset Beach, Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach.
