Longbeach is a neighborhood on Longboat Key, and Pier Dental is farther up the Gulf coast in St. Pete Beach. We are not close: the straight-line distance is 22.0 miles, and real driving is longer. Some Longboat Key patients still choose us for the way Dr. Brittany Pierpont practices.
She is a general dentist in a family-owned office. Appointments run unhurried, and there is no scolding if you have skipped years of checkups.
Exam, X-rays and a plain-English plan

The first visit is built around a comprehensive exam and digital X-rays. Dr. Pierpont reviews teeth, gums, bite and jaw joints.
An oral cancer screening is part of it. Afterward we outline what needs attention now and what can wait.

Making a cleaning worth the drive

Because the trip is long, we try to stack work into a single visit when it makes sense, such as a cleaning with an exam.
Polishing and tartar removal protect your gums, and we show you where plaque keeps hiding.

Cavities repaired with white fillings

Composite fillings match your tooth color and bond to the surface. They fit front teeth and back teeth.
If a cavity has grown too large for a filling, we talk about an onlay or a crown, not a surprise.

About Longbeach
Longbeach began when Rufus Perry Jordan laid out a community by that name and filed its plat in November 1911. It received its own post office in 1914, a sign of how quickly the north-central key was filling in.
Longboat Key sits south of Anna Maria Island, with Sarasota Bay on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. We welcome patients from Anna Maria Island and Bradenton as well.
Call (727) 363-6169 and we will help you plan around the drive. Office days run Monday 9 to 3, Tuesday 9 to 5, Wednesday 9 to 4 and Thursday 9 to 5, with Friday by appointment only.
