A well-made crown can last many years, but none last forever. If yours is loose, cracked or leaking, Dr. Brittany Pierpont can examine it and advise whether to replace it.
We also build new crowns for teeth that are cracked, worn down or recovering from a root canal.
Checking an older crown

Decay can creep in beneath an old crown. We use X-rays and a careful exam to look for it.
Sometimes a crown is fine and just needs watching.

A new crown, step by step

The tooth is shaped and our TRIOS scanner takes a digital impression. A temporary goes on, and the final crown is bonded at the second visit.
Your bite is checked before you leave.

A root canal first, if needed

A tooth with a deep infection needs a root canal before it can be crowned. Dr. Pierpont performs both.
The crown then protects what remains.

About Sun City Center
Sun City Center has its own hospital and plenty of local clubs. Dental work, though, is best done by someone who knows your whole case.
Pier Dental is about 24.7 miles from you in a straight line, farther on the road. Because a crown takes two visits, we plan both dates together.
Call (727) 363-6169 if a crown is giving trouble. Ask about same-day emergency care, CareCredit and our in-house savings plan.
