Veneers are slim shells bonded to the front of teeth to change their shade, shape or length. Dr. Pierpont takes time to match them to your face and your other teeth.
For Bay Pines patients, the first step is simply a conversation. We look at your teeth, hear what bothers you and tell you whether veneers are the right tool.
Who tends to be a good candidate

Veneers suit people with stained or worn front teeth, small chips or slightly uneven spacing. Healthy gums and enough enamel are important for lasting results.
If a tooth is badly decayed, we repair it first. In some cases a crown is wiser than a veneer.

Preparation and placement

Each tooth is lightly reshaped to make room, which means a small amount of enamel is removed. Impressions guide the lab, and we bond the finished veneers once the fit and shade look right.
You will see the shade in advance. If a tooth is too damaged for a veneer, a crown may be the better answer.

Alternatives worth knowing about

Not every smile needs veneers. Bonding can mend a single chipped tooth, and home whitening may brighten the rest at a lower cost.
We lay out each route so your decision rests on facts, not on a sales pitch.
