If a tooth breaks or starts to throb, call Pier Dental right away. We offer same-day emergency appointments, often on the day you call, for patients from Treasure Island, Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach.
Dr. Brittany Pierpont aims to relieve your pain first and explain things second. You will get a diagnosis, a plan and a straight answer on cost.
Toothache or suspected abscess

Constant pain, a bad taste or a swollen gum can point to an infection. An abscess can spread, so it is not something to wait on.
Treatment may include draining the abscess, a root canal or an extraction. Call us if you also have swelling or fever.

Broken teeth after biting down

Cracks and fractures can happen with nothing more than a hard bite. We assess how deep the damage goes and repair it with bonding, a crown or root canal therapy.
Avoid chewing on the tooth until we see it.

Dental injuries and knocked-out teeth

Rinse with warm water and apply a cold compress. A tooth that has come out should go into milk or a preservation solution, not a tissue.
Call on your way. Fast action gives the tooth its best chance.

About Treasure Island
Treasure Island’s land area is about 1.6 square miles, and the Great Gale of 1848 carved out John’s Pass at its north end. On an island with this much water around it, an accident can leave you far from your usual dentist.
Our office is at 8351 Blind Pass Rd, roughly 1.7 miles from the city center in a straight line. Our regular office hours run Monday through Thursday, with Friday by appointment.
Call Pier Dental at (727) 363-6169 now. Tell us what happened, and we will find the soonest time. Ask about CareCredit and our in-house plan too.
