A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain or composite resin bonded over the front of a tooth. It can even out color, size, shape and small gaps, and Dr. Brittany Pierpont designs each one with your natural smile in mind.
We begin by asking what bothers you. If whitening or bonding would do the job with less work, we say so; veneers are for the cases where they truly help.
What the process looks like

After a consultation and a close look at your teeth and gums, the veneers are designed for your bite and your face. You approve the plan and the shade before anything is made.
Porcelain resists staining well, while composite can often be completed faster. Dr. Pierpont explains the difference for your own teeth.

Lighter first, then matched

If your teeth are simply dull, a round of take-home whitening may be all you need. When veneers are still the goal, whitening beforehand sets the shade they will be matched to.
Veneers do not lighten later the way natural enamel does, so choosing the shade carefully matters.

Strength when a tooth is damaged

A veneer covers the front surface only. A tooth that is cracked, worn down or heavily filled may need a crown, which wraps the whole tooth.
We will tell you which one fits, even if it means a different recommendation than the one you came in asking about.
