Some teeth have been through too much. Dr. Pierpont uses crowns to hold cracked or weakened teeth together for Baskin patients, so they can chew normally again.
Every crown is matched to the shade of your other teeth.
From exam to cementing

We evaluate the tooth with X-rays, prepare it, take impressions and place a temporary. The permanent crown follows once it is made.
You will know each step ahead of time.

If a root canal comes first

A tooth with an infected nerve may need root canal therapy before it can be capped. The two steps often go together.
Together they preserve the natural tooth.

A partial cover

Onlays and inlays protect part of a damaged tooth. Dr. Pierpont may suggest one when enough healthy tooth remains.
They are a more conservative option than a full crown.
