If a tooth breaks or starts to throb, call Pier Dental at (727) 363-6169. We reserve room for same-day emergency appointments, and Dr. Brittany Pierpont will get you out of pain as a first priority.
We will not ask how it happened with a raised eyebrow. We want to understand it, fix it and prevent a repeat.
Chipped, cracked and broken

A cracked tooth can hurt only when you bite, then worsen quietly. Dr. Pierpont examines it and decides among bonding, a crown or a root canal.
Seeing us early often saves more of the tooth.

A throbbing toothache

Pain that lingers or wakes you at night suggests inflammation or infection. Dr. Pierpont diagnoses the cause with an exam and X-rays.
Facial swelling or fever calls for immediate attention.

Root canal to stop the pain

When infection reaches the nerve, root canal therapy clears it from the tooth, relieves pressure and keeps the tooth in place.
It is done with numbing, and most people say it is easier than expected.
