Teeth that have lost much of their structure to decay or cracks often need a crown. It rebuilds the tooth’s shape and shields it from further damage.
Dr. Pierpont will tell you honestly whether a crown is needed or whether a smaller repair would do.
How a crown is made

After the tooth is shaped, a temporary crown protects it while the permanent one is made. Our TRIOS scanner keeps the impression step comfortable.
The final crown is fitted and adjusted to your bite.

A partial option

An onlay covers only the damaged part of a tooth. It keeps more of your natural structure than a full crown.
Not every tooth qualifies, but it is worth asking.

Crowns after root canal treatment

Once the nerve is removed, a tooth dries out and can fracture. A crown gives it the protection it needs.
We plan both steps together.
