Veneers are thin shells that cover the front of your teeth to change their color, shape or spacing. Dr. Brittany Pierpont offers both porcelain and composite versions at Pier Dental in St. Pete Beach. Before we recommend them, we look at whether something simpler would do.
West Bradenton is about 19 miles from our office in a straight line, which means a drive across the bay area. For that reason we explain the sequence of visits up front, so there are no surprises about the number of trips.
Porcelain or composite

Porcelain is known for a polished look and for resisting stains. Composite resin can be shaped directly on the tooth and is usually the lower-cost route.
We show you the pros and cons for the teeth you want to change. Then you pick with full information.

Membership savings
Pier Dental’s in-house savings plan costs $499 per year and takes 10 percent off veneers. We also work with CareCredit if you prefer to spread out payments.
Ask us to add up your plan both ways. We are happy to compare, and there is no pressure to enroll.

Stronger teeth may need crowns

A tooth that is badly worn, cracked or heavily filled may be a crown candidate rather than a veneer candidate. Crowns cover the whole tooth.
We use a TRIOS digital scanner for crowns, which avoids messy impressions.
