Dental emergencies do not wait for a convenient hour. If you have a broken tooth, a swelling or pain that will not quit, call Pier Dental at (727) 363-6169. We make same-day emergency appointments.
We are honest about distance. Bradenton is about 20 miles from us in a straight line, and the road is longer, so a phone call first saves wasted time. We will advise you on pain control and on when to leave.
A cracked or split tooth

Pain on biting, sharp zings from cold, or a rough edge under your tongue can all signal a crack. The damage can deepen the longer you chew on it.
Dr. Pierpont checks the depth and your bite, then recommends bonding, a crown or a root canal.

A tooth knocked loose or out

Keep the tooth by the crown, rinse it gently and store it in milk or a preservation solution. Bring any pieces with you.
The sooner it is seen, the better the odds. We will also check lips, gums and the bone around the tooth.

A pulsing, spreading infection

A throbbing tooth with swelling, a pimple on the gum or a fever may mean an abscess. It will not heal by itself.
A root canal can often clear it and save the tooth. If breathing or swallowing is hard, go to the nearest emergency room.

About Bradenton
Bradenton’s visitors and residents move between the riverfront downtown and the beaches on Anna Maria Island, so accidents can happen far from home. We take calls from out-of-town patients too.
Our schedule runs Monday 9 to 3, Tuesday 9 to 5, Wednesday 9 to 4 and Thursday 9 to 5, plus Friday by appointment. Calling outside it is fine, because same-day help is sometimes possible.
Call (727) 363-6169 now and say it is an emergency. We will offer the soonest time we have, and we can explain CareCredit and in-house payment choices when you arrive.
