Veneers cover the front of a tooth with a thin shell of porcelain or composite resin. They are used to hide stains, chips and small gaps, and to even out teeth that vary in shape.
Dr. Brittany Pierpont begins with a conversation, not a drill. Belleair Shore is about 12.9 miles from Pier Dental in a straight line, so we lay out visits in advance to keep your trips few.
How the process unfolds

We talk through goals, then prepare the teeth by taking away a small amount of enamel. Impressions allow the veneers to be made in your color and shape.
At the last visit they are bonded in place. You will know each step before it happens.

When bonding does the job

One chipped corner might not justify a veneer. Composite bonding can often fix it in a single sitting.
It removes little tooth and costs less, though it can stain over time. Dr. Pierpont will recommend the simpler route if it suits you.

Brightening the shade first

Maybe color is the only thing bothering you. Take-home whitening could give you the change without any reshaping.
If you do go on to veneers, we match them to your whitened teeth, so whiten first.
